Money Play. How should Red play 55?
Over the board 15/5*, 6/1(2) was played but that is a triple blunder because it is so hard for Red to improve and there is no need to leave a direct shot, especially when your opponent has a five-point home board.
Much better is to build a strong board in the hope that White fans a couple of times so Red has time to escape his rear checker. The correct move is 15/10, 9/4(2), 6/1. That four-point home board might just be good enough to win the game.
