Match Play. Red leads 6-4 to 7 (post-Crawford). How should Red play 52?
I got this one wrong, playing 8/6, 8/3.
This leaves the long-term danger of rolling a 5 and having to hit loose on the ace-point. This is exactly what happened over the board and I lost the game.
The correct play is 6/1*, 3/1 which reduces the long-term risk. This play gives Red 3% more wins. Gammons, of course, are irrelevant to Red.
