Money Play. How should Red play 21?

As White has 11 checkers in the attack zone and Red trails in the race any split of the rear checkers is likely to be incorrect and that is precisely the case. Any split is a blunder or worse.

Playing on automatic many would choose 7/5, 6/5 but it is White’s sixes that may cause him problems so Red should not give him good sixes. The right move is 13/11, 6/5 Giving some duplication of fours. Making the 5-pt is an error (just).
