Money Play. Should Red double? If doubled, should White take?

Whatever decision you made for White you were correct! I assume you doubled as Red.

This is a good reference position as it is right on the border line. Take the spare checker on Red’s 6-pt and put it on his 2-pt and White has a massive take. Every dead checker in such positions makes a huge difference and, of course, the race is highly relevant.

Strong double for red. Ahead in the race, back checkers escaped and white trapped behind a 5 prime and not at the edge of it. Pass as white, despite the open 4pt.

I agree that the double (even a redouble) is very clear. However, I believe this one is a take for White. Red's wasted spare on the deuce-pt is reasonably costly in such a position. D/T
