• 2017 - Position 182

Money Play. How should Red play 65?

Sixes don’t grow on trees so 9/3, 8/3 (how ugly is that?) is an octuple blunder. Even 9/4, 8/2 is a septuple blunder.

The choice is between 24/13 and 24/18, 9/4. The former leaves three blots while the latter leaves only two and creates meaningful duplication of sixes. It is the correct play. 24/13 is rated as a small error.

I would play 24/13 and hope for the best.

Ditto. It can't be right to stay back. Make a run for it now. 24/13.
